LATICRETE offers Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and Health Product Declarations (HPD) for many of our product offerings. These documents can assist with the following LEED v4 credit categories:
- Building Product Disclosure and Optimization - Environmental Product Declarations
- Building Product Disclosure and Optimization - Material Ingredients
What is an EPD?
A comprehensive, independently verified report which documents the impacts of a product on the environment throughout its life cycle. The intent of the EPD is not to show superiority to alternative products, but to provide transparent information on the life-cycle impact of the product.
EPD address material content, energy use, energy efficiency, chemical substances, air emissions, soil and water impact, as well as waste generation from “cradle-to-grave”. The LATICRETE EPD are created and verified in accordance with ISO 14025, and based on a life-cycle assessment according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.

What is an HPD?
An open standard which provides complete, transparent disclosure of the potential chemicals of concern by analyzing and comparing all product raw materials to authoritative chemical hazard lists from around the world. Health Product Declarations are governed by the Health Product Declaration Collaborative.
